PATHWAYS TO AN ALIGNED HEART
Groups & Conflict
Imagine peace. Our differences don’t have to divide us. Our well-being is bound with theirs.
This group work is for organizations and relationships navigating difference, tension, and change.
Interbeing is named across faith traditions, affirming that we are inextricably linked. Transforming conflict and responding to each other’s unmet needs serves our collective interest.
As Paulo Freire reminds us:
“No one can be authentically human while preventing others from being so.”
Conflict transformation is remembering our shared humanity, rooted in dignity, accountability, and care.
partnership
Together we will integrate somatic awareness and play to develop a strategic plan of action that fosters wholeness for you or your group.
Individual Conflict
You are someone who cares deeply about justice, community, leadership, and spiritual integrity.
And you’re feeling overwhelmed, shut down, or reactive. You may have done the inner work. You have insight and language. And yet, when conflict arises, your body moves faster than your values.
You may notice tension before words. A tightening somewhere in the body. A pull to appease, withdraw, or defend. Later, you replay the moment, wishing you had responded differently.
You have arrived. There’s room for all the feelings here.
partnership
Together we will access body wisdom and learn what it has to say. We will use play, and other modalities of attunement. Read about them in my Substack: Aligned Heart Path.
SOMATIC ARTS & CONFLICT TRANSFORMATION
If you’ve been feeling stuck.
There is movement and grace here.
Together, we practice meeting conflict without collapse or harm, embodying our values under pressure, and cultivating the body’s wisdom to respond with clarity, compassion, & ethical action.
What People Are Saying
“I’m a disabled veteran who turned to yoga to relieve muscle tension and improve mobility. Working with Manuel was refreshing and supportive, and I always felt better after our sessions. Each movement was genuinely therapeutic.”
David D.
“In the fall of 2022, PSR lost a student tragically to an incident of gun violence in the downtown area of Berkeley. Manuel helped us develop a Community Garden dedicated in memory of that student that was filled with medicinal/herbal healing plants. The initiative was called Seeds of Dialogue.”
Rev. Ann J.
“With your help, I gained a sense of grounding and depth through your guided meditations. Thank you for your patience, and for walking me through, Manuel.”
Handrick P.
At the heart of spiritually rooted work are three guiding questions:
How does one cultivate healthy relationships with oneself, with others, and with our entire ecosystem?
How does the wisdom of the body play a role in nurturing these healthy relationships?
How might healthy disagreements be a
norm?
These questions shape my approach to truth-seeking and peace-building within self and in
groups.
